Elephants are magic. Stoic in their stature, but charming and admirable in the way they live their day to day. I’ve seen elephants in so many forms; As a formidable force, a playful older sibling, a protective mother, a lone bull in musth, lumbering with purpose through high grass. Their low rumbles that reverberate across the savanah have drummed through my body, induced tears from my wide eyes, and sped my heart beat to where it just may burst. This is a magic that needs our protection to thrive.
